of Assessment in GISD:
In GISD, proficiency scales allow teachers to provide feedback to students based on learning targets.
Assessment is one of the most valuable tools in the teacher toolbox (Hoegh, 2023) as it provides feedback to the teacher and student.
Assessment is the heartbeat of learning; encompassing everything a student does to demonstrate knowledge and measure the impact of instruction. Through monitoring, adjusting, and reflecting, assessment becomes a tool for tailored instruction, differentiation, intervention and enrichment.
